主位结构是语篇信息传递的方式,提供语篇的框架;衔接手段发生在语法和词汇层次上,是加强句际语义联系和连贯的主要手段。以系统功能语言学中的主位理论和衔接理论为指导,探讨主位结构和衔接手段的关系。通过实例分析,发现主位结构和衔接手段有着紧密联系,即主、述位的推进是由语法衔接和词汇衔接来实现的。

Thematic structure is an important way of transmitting discourse information and contributing to textual organization while cohesion happens at grammatical and lexical levels and serves as an important device for discourse coherence. Based on the theories of theme and cohesion, this paper explores the relationship between thematic structure and cohesive ties, and with data analysis, concluding that thematic structure is closely related to cohesive ties, i.e. , thematic progression is realized by grammatical and lexical ties.
