摘要
受说书传统的影响,章回小说中运用了大量具有拟书场特征的叙事标记语。这些模式化、雷同化的标记语在语篇连贯上具有重要作用,从而成为章回小说的叙事标记。本文尝试对章回小说的叙事标记语进行定义与分类,借助语料库,以系统功能语法为评价手段,对《红楼梦》叙事标记语及其在三个英译本中的体现进行定量、定性分析,旨在发现各译本在展现叙事标记语方面的异同与得失,以期对典籍英译起到借鉴作用。
Influenced by the storytelling narrative feature of Chinese full - length vernacular fictions, Hong Lou Meng is embedded with a series of narrative markers to simulate an oral performance situation. With the help of corpus tools, this paper carries out a quantitative and qualitative comparison of the occurrences of narrative markers in Hong Lou Meng and its three English transla- tions. Starting from the perspective of the metafunctions of these narrative markers, the paper aims to assess the pros and cons of each translation with reference to their respective treatment of the narrative markers of the source text.
