作为历史悠久的文明古国,古代埃及文化对周边地区有很大影响。特别是犹太文化,无疑应该继承了埃及文明的许多特征。基督教脱胎于犹太教,所以埃及文化的痕迹依然留存。埃及和早期基督教之间有着千丝万缕的联系,基督教受埃及文化的影响集中体现在文学、神学思想和艺术等方面。基督教文学中的一些词汇、语言、题材和体裁明显受到埃及文化的影响;埃及传统的宗教思想与基督教神学之间有很多相通契合之处;古埃及艺术、特别是宗教题材的艺术,为后来的基督教留下了一些素材。

The relation between Egypt and early Christianity was very complicated. Christianity is manifested the Egyptian culture influence focused on literature, theology thought, art and so on. In Christianity literature, some glossaries, the language, the theme and the literature style received the Egyptian culture＇ s obvious influence; between the Egyptian tradition＇ s religious ideas and the Christianity theology have some communication; the ancient Egyptian art, the religious theme art, has left behind some source material for afterward Christianity.
