The adsorption performance of NO on Ag-exchanged zeolites was examined by adsorptiondesorption measurement in a fixed-bed flow apparatus. The amounts of reversible (Qre) and irreversible (Qir) NO adsorption were changed with the zeolite structure. Among the samples tested, Ag-mordenite and AgZSM_5 showed the greatest ability for reversible NO adsorption. The amounts Q* of reversible and irreversible NO adsorption per Ag atom increased with decreasing Al content in the zeolites. The Q*re was constant, independent of the Ag exchange degree for ZSM_5, but increased with the exchange degree for mordenite. It was also found that the adsorption performance was dependent on adsorption temperature and pressure: Qre and Qir of Ag-mordenite increased with decreasing adsorption temperature and with increasing adsorption pressure.
