本试验表明，国产金属钕通常具有高的品位，金属钕锭宏观组织一般为三晶区，显微组织为α和β双相，ｘ－射线衍射分析和研究表明，金属钕出现罕见的同素异晶转变不完全性，根据金属钕的布氏硬度测定值可粗略和方便地估计其碳含量。

The present tests show that neodymium metal have generally high quality in our country.Microstructure of neodymium metal ingot includes three different grain zones.Microstructure of neodymium metal is α and β dual phases. It has been found that allotropic transformation of neodymium metal appears to be incomplete by X-ray diffraction analysis.The determined Brinell hardness numbers of neodymium metal can be used to estimate its carbon content roughly.
