This article draw enlightenment from the reading activity through the introduction of the competition of soliciting articles about reading on ＂23rd April, the World Book and Copyright Day＂ organized by the Shantou Library, that the library should make good use of ＂the World Book and Copyright Day＂ and play a leading role in the activities of tutoring all the civilians to read effectively, to pay more attention on the continuity and practicality of reading, to make reading become the ＂fashion＂ which people will purchase for the whole life.
