文儒与吏能之争在有效促成开元盛世的清明政治文化的同时,也完善了文儒诗学的理论思考。有唐文学在开元、天宝之时,达其极盛,诗家辈出,佳作如林。大体言之,盛唐诗歌的艺术风格,可分为前后两期,前期以浪漫高华为主体风格,后期则转入沉郁顿挫。然风格虽有转变,但成就前后两期风格乃至成就盛唐诗歌风格的仍为"气"与"情":"气"盛而"情"真。盛唐文学的文化精神亦因之而凸显。

The struggle between the literati and the palatine has not only brought enlightened politics and culture in Kai Yuan period in Tang Dynasty, but aslo the consideration of poetics. In Kai Yuan period of Tang Dynasty, Tang literature has been at its best, and poets and their excellent writing have come forth in great numbers.Generally speaking, the art style of Tang poem could be divided into two phases, that are the prophase and late phase. In the prophase, romance and pageantry were the main style, while in the late phase, the style has become depress. Although the style has been changed, the common style both in prophase and late phase,even in the Tang Dynasty, is still vigour and passion. Vigour flourishes, passion indeeds, for which,the cultural spirits of Tang literature embodies.
