This paper analyzed the advantages and the constraints in the development of the competitive teakwondo, and proposed some countermeasures as followed： to strengthen the training of taekwondo referees;to cultivate a high level referee teams; to establish an exchange mechanism of referees; to develop competitive taekwondo as a key project; and to cultivate potential market for the sustainable development of competitive taekwondo; etc.
