This paper deals with the status and causes of degradation of wetlands, establishing wetlands monitoring system, building the initial framework for wetland monitoring system, to provide timely, scientific and accurate data for protecting scientific and reasonable ecological environment and scientific and effective theory system for wetland protection, management, scientific research and rational exploitation.
