摘要
本文首先简要介绍了TG理论所经历的五个发展阶段，阐述了TG理论的哲学基础、理论基础以及语言教学观。在此基础上，笔者结合英语教学中的常见实例，从X阶标理论、题元理论、语迹和空范畴理论、约束理论四个方面重点论述了TG理论在英语教学中的应用。
The present paper makes a brief introduction to the five stages of the development of TG theory and expounds its philosophical and theoretical basis as well as its language teaching proposition. This paper devotes mainly to illustrating the application of TG theory in English teaching from the aspects of X＇-theory, O-theory,trace and empty category theory and binding theory with examples which teachers often encounter in their teaching practice of English.
