This paper introduces the present situation of the water quality monitoring of the YRDP, discusses the importance of the real-time online water quality monitoring on guaranteeing the water quality safety of the YRDP, and probes into the preliminary scheme of constructing the water quality real-time monitoring system for getting hold of the variation of the water quality accurately and timely and providing the foundations for the scientific decision of the water environment management and guaranteeing the water quality safety of the YRDP.
