his paper describes the capacity enlargement of petrochemical industry,the co-ordination of sup-ply and demand of petrochemical products, the intensification of market competition and the prospectof product profit in East Asia. The present situation and trend of petrochemical industry in Singapore,Indonesia, Thailand, S. Korea and Taiwan province of China are also introduced respectively.
