《献给爱米丽的玫瑰》中,作者福克纳对主人公爱米丽充满悲剧色彩的一生表现出无尽的同情和怜悯。从女性主义视角,包括社会、家庭和婚姻制度三个方面对爱米丽的悲剧人生进行解析,从中可以看到南方非人道的道德观和男权社会对女性精神世界的控制、摧残和扭曲。
William Faulkner shows a great sympathy to the tragic life of the female protagonist Emily in the novel A Rose for Emily. Through the feminism perspectives including the analysis of social background, family atmosphere and marital system, the paper points out the fact that the immoral Southern morality and patriarchy severely destroyed and distorted the spiritual world of Southern females.
