Taking several typical editing and proofreading mistakes and problems in 50 Years of Chinese Literature as examples, the paper points out that the root cause lies in editors＇ inadequacy of knowledge reserve and lack of rigorous professional style. In view of this situation, the paper proposes to improve the cultivation of editors＇ cultural quality and professional style so as to guarantee the editing quality of publication.
