Curating and Practice of Art Exhibition

策展人这个概念是从西方开始的,做一个展览要涉及到两个方面:一个是学术上的,一个是运作上的,前者叫策划,后者就是实施。今天就从这两个方面谈谈我的经验和理解。大家都知道艺术馆或者美术馆有四大功能。第一个就是收藏,一个美术馆就要有一定量的收藏,而且要和这个美术馆吻合。第二个要做展示。第三个要做研究,这个研究是学术上的。

The article is based on the lecture recording.Zhou Zhicong,the speaker and vice curator of Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art,introduces four functions of museum and analyzes the museum curatorial patterns to curate and carry out the art exhibition,and he also shares his personal experience of how to be a good curator.
