去隐喻化的主体:理查兹互动论的再探讨

De-metaphorized Subject:A Re-evaluation of Richards' Interaction Theory

当代隐喻研究不仅探讨语言的本质,更关注人的本质。主体性是人作为认知和实践活动的主体所具有的根本属性。人类的主体性研究可以为隐喻问题提供有利的视角。本文遵循主体研究的脉络,以主体的确立、发展和隐退三个阶段为框架,通过分析当代西方主要的隐喻理论,尤其是理查兹的互动论。本文发现,随着人的主体性的隐退,语言也将出现"去隐喻化"。隐喻不再是人类随心所欲的思维工具。

Contemporary study on metaphor discusses human nature other than the nature of language only.Subjectivity is the essential attribute of human beings as the subject of cognitive and practical activities.Therefore,the study of human subjectivity offers a favorable perspective to the issue of metaphor.This paper analyzed the major metaphor studies in the West,Richards' Interaction Theory in particular with the framework of the three phrases of human subjectivity,namely its establishment,development and recession.It is found in the paper that with the recession of human subjectivity,language would be de-metaphorized as well.Metaphor is no longer the tool of thinking at human disposal.
