摘要
斯沃斯莫尔学院位于美国宾夕法尼亚州费城,它同时又是一座美丽的树木园。校园的设计充分体现了生态设计的原则,主要采取的措施有衬草溪流、LEED建筑设计和屋顶绿化等。校园的生态设计的实践不仅涵盖校园环境从整体到细节的每一处设计,更体现在日常校园生活和在不断追求可持续的生活方式的探索与实践,值得我们学习。
Swarthmore College is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it's a beautiful arboretum. Ecological design principles are implemented in various locations throughout campus, mainly in Bio-stream, LEED Science Center, Alice Paul Residence Hall Green roof and Lawn Alternatives. The intent is to provide a comprehensive program of environmental education to building occupants and visitors to heighten awareness of resource use, conservation measures, and the effects of the built environment on the natural environment.
