Study on Translator’s Subjectivity in Translating Classical Chinese Poetry into English —Review and Anticipation

译者主体性研究促进了古诗英译的内部研究与外部研究的结合。通过回顾我国古诗英译实践及研究的进程,本文探讨了译者主体性研究在该领域的主题分类及其局限性,并对其研究前景和方法提出了尝试性的建议。

The study on translator’s subjectivity shows a combination between the internal and external research on English translation of Classical Chinese Poetry. By reviewing the procedures and achievements in researches on the translation of classical Chinese poetry into English, this paper analyzes variouse types of study on translator’s subjectivity in those researches as well as their limitations, putting forward tentative suggestions on the prospects and approaches of conducting research on translator’s subjectivity in this area.
