摘要
语用学和语义学是语言学的两大主要分支,都是对话语意义的研究。就其不同而言,语义学是语言基本意义的研究,语用学则以语义为依托,结合语境更好地诠释言语的意义。语用学的源起是语义学的"废纸篓"。本文结合Frege的语义观——将三种表达思想不足或过多的句子划定在语义学范围外,从语用学的角度——言语行为理论、会话含义理论和指示,对《阿凡达》字幕翻译进行语义解读。
Pragmatics and semantics are two main branches of linguistics,both of which are the study on meaning.Semantics is the research on the meaning of language itself,while pragmatics is on the extra-language meaning and taking semantics as backing.Pragmatics comes from the wastebasket of semantics,as delimited by Frege.Based on this point of view,this paper will discuss three kinds of excluded sentences on semantics,including speech act theory,conversational implicature and deictic usage in pragmatics,to help readers understand the subtitle translation of Avatar better.
