Code-swictching is an effective teaching method put forward by most linguists,especially for teaching in high school.That teachers use the method to teach students timely can meet the demands of students.The paper mainly analyzes the positive role and functions of code-switching,namely,language communication,explanation of language points,humorous classroom atmosphere and shortening the distance of teachers and students.The paper proves that code-switching plays an essential role in teaching in high school.
