摘要
Recently,19 top students at a private middle school in Chengdu, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, were selected to have a very luxurious meal with the school president. These students were chosen based on examination results.This dinner has aroused public attention and heated debate in China. Supporters think it is just a normal way to encourage top students to strive for excellence. We should encourage this new attempt and should give educators a more tolerant atmosphere.
