Square and round design has played a predominant role in Chinese ancient culture. Our ancestors attached great importance to the application of the two figures in their outlook of heaven and earth, aesthetics, and philosophy of life. Square and round figures were always applied in many fields of art design, ranging from utensil, architecture, pictures, costume to coins. The designs were characterized by oriental features and traditional temperament.
