The School Uniform——"Clothing Order" on Campus

作为一种独特的文化形式,校服在表现一个国家和地区的经济、教育和文化水平方面起着重要的作用,同时校服起到的群体身份认同和等级区分的作用也使其成为一种校园中的服饰秩序。本文以我国早期的校服雏形为起点探讨了校服的"群体身份认同"作用,又通过对代表英国不同阶层的蓝制服、伊顿服和国立学校制服的研究,揭示了校服所承载的社会秩序。

As a unique cultural form, the school uniform plays an important role in displaying the economy, education and cultural level of a country or a region. Meanwhile, the role that the school uniform plays in the approval of community status and the rank discrimination makes the school uniform become one kind of 'clothing order' on campus. The paper starts from the early-time school uniform in our country to discuss the role of school uniform to approve of community status. Then, it promulgates the social order that the school uniform bears by the research of the Bluecoat uniform, the Eton suit and the state-run school uniform which represent different social classes in UK.
