D·H·Lawrence, a well-known British writer in the 20th century, also established himself a high reputation for his novels in the world literature. His short novel--Odor of Chrysanthemums attracted many readers as well. Lawrence gave an account of the coal miners' miserable life, during the industrial development, the miners' hard life, and the common people's helplessness which even today's readers can also perceive, meanwhile, life tragedy can be deeply sensed through his novel during the industrial development.
