大学精神与人文学科建设关系略论

Discussions about the Relationship between University Spirits and Humanities Development

大学之所以为大学,不仅在于它是一种客观物的存在,更因为它是一种精神的存在,这种大学精神最重要的内涵就是其人文精神。人文精神是大学文化教育的核心,是大学的灵魂所在。构建大学的人文精神,必须加强人文科学建设。人文科学是从哲学高度对包括人文主义与人文学科在内的人文活动原理的系统研究理论。人文科学与自然科学是在现代化历史条件下分蘖出来的对立统一矛盾体,二者在当代科技与人文形势下已经趋于相互渗透与依赖。大学强化人文教育,加强人文科学建设,可采取以下几种措施:改革高等教育结构,打破文理分家、理工分校的局面;调整学科和专业设置,建立综合性的学科和专业;优化课程设置。同时还应努力营造适合大学人文精神发展的校园文化氛围,创新大学教育管理体制。

Universities not only exist as objective things but also as spirits whose most important content is humanistic spirits,the core of cultural education at universities,also the soul of universities.The humanistic spirits at universities depend on the development of humanities,which is a systematic theory of the principles of human activities,including humanism and the humanities from the angle of philosophy.Humanities and natural sciences,as the contradiction of the unity of opposites,are separated under the conditions of modern histories,while they have already infiltrated mutually and depended on each other with the development of contemporary science and technology and of humanities.There are such measures to strengthen humanistic education and the development of humanities as:to reform the structure of higher education,to eliminate the separation in arts and sciences,to adjust the establishment of disciplines and the specialties and to establish comprehensive disciplines and specialties, to optimize the arrangement of curriculums.In addition,the cultural atmosphere on campus should be created so as to be suitable for the development of humanistic spirit at university, and the management system of universities must be innovated as well.
