Hu Shi and Xiamen University

本文梳理了胡适与厦门大学及前后两任校长的关系,发现了一些新史料。特别是由鲁迅在厦门大学期间的议论,分析了鲁迅及"胡适派"文人行事作文的不同风格,同时对鲁迅关于厦门大学的评论进行了辨析和重新评价。

This paper makes clear the relationship between Hu Shi and Xiamen University as well as his relationship with the preceding president and his succeeding president of the university. Some new historicalmaterials were uncovered therein. Based on Lu Xun’s articles written during his stay in Xiamen University, analysis is made on the differences between Lu Xun and writers like' Hu Shi' in conduct and styles of articles. Efforts are also made in this paper to analyze and re-evaluate Lu Xun’s comments on Xiamen University.
