摘要
在基于超宽带(UWB)技术的无线通信网络中,媒体访问控制(MAC)技术对网络性能及服务质量有显著的影响。UWB具有不同于其他无线通信技术的特性,对设计高效的UWB MAC协议提出了新的问题,同时也带来了新的有利因素。该文从UWB通信的特性出发,对UWB网络的MAC协议的技术要求进行了阐述,对UWB物理层特性对UWB MAC设计的影响进行了分析;全面综述了当前的UWB MAC技术;对已有协议进行了分类总结和分析比较;讨论了UWB MAC技术的发展趋势。
In UWB based wireless networks,Medium Access Control(MAC)plays a key role to achieve high efficiency,and significantly affects network performance and Quality of Service(QoS).The unique UWB characteristics not only pose significant challenges but also provide great opportunities in designing efficient UWB MAC protocols.In this paper,we describe the requirements for designing MAC protocols of LrWB networks. Based on the analysis on the impact of the UWB physical layer characteristics on MAC designs,we present a comprehensive overview of UWB MAC technologies and make a comparative study on the existing UWB MAC protocols.We conclude this paper by identifying development trends of UWB MAC technologies.
