25 Years of Metaphor and Cognition Studies (1980-2004): Achievements, Problems and Current Trends

本文以《隐喻与认知:中国大陆出版物注释目录(1980—2004)》为依据,系统分析了中国大陆25年间隐喻和认知研究。得出结论:(1)1995年中国大陆开始隐喻研究的认知转向,认知语法的研究也在同一时期开始;(2)2000年到2004年5年间该领域论文数量成几何级数增长;(3)在隐喻研究中,概念隐喻成为一个大的热点;(4)从整体看,理论介绍尚可,但是创新严重不足;(5)研究队伍看似庞大,核心研究人员不足;(6)国际交流严重不足;(7)隐喻与认知的多学科研究趋势正在慢慢形成;(8)应用认知语言学是未来的研究趋势之一。

Based on the analysis of Metaphor and Cognition: An Annotated Bibliography of Publications in the Chinese Mainland (1980-2004), this article concludes: (1) Chinese Mainland started a cognitive turn to metaphor study in 1995, meantime research on cognitive grammar started; (2) Research papers increased exponentially in the 5 years period from 2000 to 2004; (3) Conceptual metaphor study has become one of the hottest topics; (4) In general, the majority of the papers lacks of originality; (5) There is a huge body of research population, but very small number of core researchers; (6) The whole research population lack of international communication; (7) A trend of interdisciplinary research on metaphor and cognition has been gradually forming; (8) Applied cognitive linguistics is becoming one of the research trends.
