隐喻功能的多维思考

Reflections on Functions of Metaphor

国内隐喻功能研究虽然取得了不少进展,但隐喻功能的分类、界定和阐释似乎还有较大的探讨空间。本文在借鉴国内外部分学者研究成果的基础上,从不同的层次和角度,对部分隐喻的功能作了初步界定和阐释,提出隐喻具有构词功能、表情功能、美学功能、说理功能、文化功能和描摹功能。

Much progress has been made in the study of metaphors,but there is still much room for the exploration of metaphorical classifications and interpretations. This paper,based on the research findings of some foreign and domestic linguists in this field,makes a preliminary classification of metaphor functions and interpretations from different perspectives,arguing that the metaphor has word-building function,emotive function,aesthetic function,persuasive function,cultural function and descriptive function.
