翻译家对待科技术语和语篇的态度应该是准确性第一。然而由于科学需要普及,那么科技语篇也应该具有艺术性、审美感。这就要求科技文本的译者,既要关照前者,也要关照后者,让准确性和艺术性走向和谐。纽马克的科技术语翻译观有助于解决科技术语的翻译障碍,哈迪姆的语篇理论能提供处理语篇层级的策略。
The texts of English have been classified into a literary one and a non-literary one, or a cultural and non-cultural one, as far as being considered in the transla- tor world. Translators far and wide agree upon the fact that technical texts belong to one of specialization ones. The typical characteristics of technical texts denote globalization, accuracy, applicability or artistry. Technical translators are obliged to inter- pret and replay accurate and readable original copies with comprehensive artistry.
