网络与课堂有效结合的大学英语双主听说教学模式设计

摘要 现代化信息技术使大学英语听说教学改革前景广阔。但是,利用了现代化信息技术并非就是真正意义上的改革。听说教学改革的目标是以听促说,提高学生的话语交际能力。要实现有效交际,语言使用者必须有一定的社会语言能力、信息运载能力和语篇能力,而这些能力的培养和训练在我们的听说教学和教学改革中却被忽略了。要改变这种局面,听说课必须结合话语知识的系统学习和训练,充分利用网上丰富的话语资源,发挥教师的主导作用和学生的认知主体作用,建立一个网络、课堂、教师、学生四者有机结合的教学模式。本文就此提出模式构建与实施的设想和流程设计,以期为大学英语改革提供可借鉴的思路。 Modern information technology has opened vast vistas for reforms in the teaching of College English, especially in the areas of listening and speaking. However, a real re- form would involve more than merely adopting such technologies. The aim of a reform should be to raise students’ conversational abilities, to aid them in communicating effectively. To carry out an effective communication, language users must be equipped with practical competence and discursive proficiency, a point neglected in the current teaching methodology and reorganization. With the aim of altering the present situation, an improved teaching model needs to be set up—one that integrates the use of the Internet, classroom instructions, the teacher and the students. Within the context of such model, the students’ practical competence and discursive proficiency would be cultivated, and taught systematically through the full use of Internet conversational resources. An arrangement along these lines would underscore the leadership role of teachers, and their full relevance as organizers, directors and facilitators of knowledge. Moreover, it would reinforce the central role of students as learners and explorers, in the process of acquiring independent cognitive aptitude. This article sets forth one such design, with particular reference to the formation and implementation of the reform.
