跨文化创作如何融合语言、文化和文学

跨文化创作就是翻译和写作。英语翻译/写作中不可避免涉及语言、文化和文学这三个方面,它们既密切相关,但又是相对独立的分支。如何通过翻译/写作教学促进学生了解英语文化,进而深刻理解文学呢?反之,如何帮助学生掌握英语文化和文学,促进他们提高写作/翻译的技能?这是愈久弥新的话题,也是萦绕笔者心中挥之不去的情结。本文在前人探索基础上,拟深入讨论这个话题,以期引起更多共鸣。

The term'Trans-Cultural Creativity'refers to local translations of English written materials..In communicating across cultures,there are always literary,cultural and linguistic barriers to overcome.In fact,the correlation of language,culture and literature is such that viewed each one on its own,they are indispensable.Trans-cultural creativity means that one should be combining the above—mentioned elements throughout the process of writing,or trans- lating from English,as their impact could be felt in multiple directions.Those teachers who give due consideration attention to this problem—and endeavor to work at it—can help students gain a fuller,deeper understanding of English,and thus,enable them to perform better in trans-cultural creativity.
