从社会学的角度审视美加文化的差异

虽然美国和加拿大近在咫尺,互为贸易伙伴,讲同一种语言(除魁北克外),并且均为先前的英属殖民地,但是两国之间在文化建构方面的差异是很大的。本文试图从社会学关于少数民族关系模式的理论出发,较为深入地阐释美加文化的差异。

Though Canada and the U.S. are peaceful neighbors, big trading partners, former colo- nies of Great Britain, and nations speaking the same language (except for Quebec), the cultural differences between them are quite large. The thesis focuses on the theory of pattern of relationship among ethnic groups to illustrate the cultural differences between Canada and the United States.
