散文英译的“形似”与“神似”

汉语散文以其"形"散而"神"不散为特征,因此,在英译汉语散文的过程中要特别注意英汉语言的差别,做到词、句的动态对等,才能达到"形似"与"神似"的统一。本文从词汇、句子结构和风格方面探讨了散文翻译的原则。

Loose in forms but focused on one theme is characteristic of Chinese prose. In the Chinese-English translation of prose, we should pay more attention to the differences be- tween English and Chinese so as to achieve dynamic equivalence and resemblance both in form and spirit. This article aims to illustrate the dynamic equivalence in wording, sen- tence and style and sum up the principles in the translation of prose.
