Joseph Heller's first novel Catch-22 creates a world used to satirize the immoral and absurd American life and society. This paper try to argue that Heller' s second novel, Something Happened, shapes a peacetime world, which is still under the control of the Catch-22. It is actually that that something happens to and the American society makes the protagonist fear and frighten, like a catch.
