《李尔王》在西方的研究经历了一个曲折的过程。西方三百年的《李尔王》评论,可以说是异彩纷呈,不同的研究者从不同的角度入手,得出了相异的结论。以往对《李尔王》的研究主要是从“诗的正义”原则,《李尔王》是否适合舞台演出,宗教的角度,神话原型批评的方法,新批评派的文本批评等几个角度展开的。
The study on King Lear in the West has experienced a long and torturous process. Over 300 years there are so many researchers who have drawn various conclusions from different aspects. Some studied King Lear from the principle of ' poet justice,'some studied the question about whether King Lear suits theatrical performances, some studied this play from religious aspect, some studied it from the archetypal criticism, and the New Criticism School studied it from textual criticism.
