上下铺、室友、公共澡堂和餐厅,这些在各国的学校宿舍和军营里都很常见。不过在中国,这些可不仅仅为学生和军人们所独享。在每个中国的大城市里,都有“单位”存在。有些单位的职工不只分享工作环境,还分享宿舍,澡堂,餐厅。这样的生活方式,让职工们结下了深厚的友谊。
Bunk beds, roommates, communal showers and canteens. All are ordinarily found in school dormitories and military quarters. In China, however, such conditions apply to more than just students and soldiers. In every major city in China, there are 'danwei' or residential communities of laborers. In addition to sharing their place of work, many employees share their bedrooms, bathrooms and dining rooms. Often, as a result of their common lifestyle, they share not only a community, but friendship, as well.
