摘要
EFL教学和ESL教学有很大的不同。适用于后者的真实世界任务不一定也适用于前者。本文提出“真实任务”的概念,认为仅仅把真实世界任务理解为在课堂上让学生模仿演练可能在真实世界里发生的情景不能激发学生的学习兴趣。因为ESL的真实世界与EFL的真实世界十分不同。本文讨论如何在EFL的环境下创造出促使学生将目的语应用于课堂内外,去完成“真实任务”;提出通过因特网来实现这一目的的方法,并设计出一个具体的实施这个方法的步骤,还探讨设计这些任务时所应注意的一些问题。
There is a big difference between the contexts of EFL and ESL. Real-world tasks that are adequate for the latter may not be suitable for the former. This paper promoted the notion of 'real tasks' and suggested that real-world tasks, which are restricted to the classroom activities and which are used to rehearse or practice those tasks that are found to be important in the ESL real world, are not motivational enough for EFL students, because the real world of ESL is different from the one of EFL. This paper discussed how to create real tasks in EFL context. It also designed a concrete procedure implementing the real Internet-based tasks. Finally, it discussed a few concerns in creating real tasks.
