Based on their role and duties in higher education, this article discusses the abilities that teaching secretaries should have. Only by possessing all these abilities receiving further education, they can become their leaders' good assistants, coordinate all possible relations, serve teachers and students well and meet the needs of the reform and information development in higher education.
