本文探讨了如何使多媒体网络技术与传统的教学手段相结合,充分发挥其作用和潜力,在大学英语教学和测试两方面双管齐下,使测试为教学服务,寓教于测,以测促教,创建人机结合的现代大学英语教学模式。该模式以多媒体网络技术为支撑,易于操作,培养学生以听、说为主的英语综合实用能力,以及充分运用现代化的信息传播手段获得英语知识的能力。

This paper discusses how the combination of multimedia network and traditional teaching techniques helps to develop a new system that can be adopted to most ordinary colleges--A Modern Human-computer-combined English Teaching and Learning Pattern and Assessment System based on multimedia network technology. Multimedia network and traditional teaching skills interact with and promote each other, and most importantly, teaching is improved by assessment. The purpose is to develop students' ability of applying English comprehensively and capacity of acquiring English knowledge through information media. It will be valuable for most colleges to apply this new teaching and learning pattern that is practical, easily operated.
