On the Reforms and Development in Modern Adult Education

该文认为现代成人教育只有真正区别于普通教育才能够满足社会经济发展对人才类型、人才结构、人才层次和人才素质的要求,也才有自身生存和发展的理由和空间。该文深入分析了现代成人教育的基本特征、成人学习的心理特征和学习特点,并在此基础上提出了现代成人教育改革和发展的基本思路。

In this article, we argue that modern adult education has to be differentiated from the basic education; otherwise, it can't satisfy the needs of talent in the types, structures, levels, and makings coming from the development of society and economy. Furthermore, it will lose its own reason and no room for exiting and development. We bring forward some basic reflections on the reforms and development in modern adult education based on our discussions about the basic characteristics of modern adult education, the adult psychology of learning, and the characteristics of adult learners.
