The urban sculpture discribed as "urban music note" reflects a city’s spiritual appearance and cultural feature. There are quite a few sculpturesevidently reflecting urban culture, and somesculptures have even become the symbols ofa country or city, such as"Country-mother in Russia", "Copenhagen’s Beautiful fish " , "Beijing’s People’s Hero Monument", "Tsingdao’sMay Wind", "Xiamen’s Zheng Chengong" and "Lanzhou’sYellow River-mother" ,etc. Thesecountries orcities havetheir own symbolic sculptures which make people vividly remember them. China’s urban sculpture rising in the 1980’sstarted very late in contrastwith that of European countries. However, currently China has the largest quantity of urban sculptures in the world. Quitea few small and medium-sized Chinese citieshave sculpture gardens and the quantity of urban sculpture is drastically increasing. Urban sculpture can be seen everywhere, such as in large parks, pleasure grounds, schools, communities, etc. The public now attachesgreatimportanceto theurban sculpture and the urban sculpturenow becomes an integralcomponent of urban culture and spirit.
