王朝闻的雕塑观,它是一个较为广泛的课题,不能全面涉及,我只能从亲身与王先生直接接触的四个方面来加以初步论述。算是了解王先生雕塑美学观的一个开始吧。

Wang Chaowen's sculpture perspective, a comprehensive subject, cannot be all involved. I can just discuss elementarily upon 4 aspects that I personally met with Mr. Wang.Mr. Wang Chaowen was my illuminative teacher of sculpture creation subject when I studied in Sculpture Dept of Central Academy of Fine Arts in the 1950's. In his many enlightenment, the handle of Liu Hulan's kidnapping improved the relationship of reoccurrence of life of reflecting life and art in my creation via a typical example.Over 30 years later, on Aug 5, 1982, he participated in 1st 'Harbin City's Sculpture Design Exhibition'. After seeing the scheme of urban sculpture, he expressed his views in why sculpture sees well or doesn't see well, the spiritual relationship of locations of sculpture and. audience, connection and difference of time and space concerning aesthetical feature and value of sculpture and other aspects, and contents and forms of sculpture.Six years later, I worked in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, I wrote to him for consulting some problems in edition. In his reply, he especially made mention of ways of sculpture appreciationIn 1992, Mr. Wang Chaowen publicized the monograph 'Sculpture sculpture' specifically talking about sculpture art and probed into the important problems what sculpture 'See well' was indispensable to relate to.
