浅议“more than+无主语结构”

在“2004年全国硕士研究生入学统一考试英语试题”Section Ⅱ UsingEnglish中,有这样一道选择题(第35题):Children are likely to have lesssupervision at home______was common in the traditional family structure.A.than B.that C.which D.as(答案是A)。这道题考查的语言要点是“more than+无主语结构”。《大学英语》第四册第七单元的课文中出现过类似的句型。如:She gave me the impression of having more teeth,white and large and even,thanwere necessary for any practical purpose.(P.150)。同时在该单元的练习中,还配有“more than+无主语结构”的专项练习,我们不妨回顾一下,以加深对该句型的认识和理解。(pp.164-165)
