An Exploration of "Hunting Kylin"

本文从文化的形成是自然的人化的过程这一基本观点出发,通过对"兽"在中国古代文化意义的纵向考察,认为"麟"是孔子"王道"、"仁政"的象征,"获麟"一事是孔子政治理想破灭的标志。

Based on the viewpoint that the generation of culture is the process of natural humanization and the study on the meaning of 'Beast' in ancient Chinese culture, this paper argues that 'Kylin' is the symbol of Confucius' benevolent government, and the affair of 'Hunting Kylin' is the evaporation of Con fucius' political ideal.
