物资供应是兼物资管理和物流管理二者内容而有之的交叉学科,它具有独立的研究对象和结构体系以及相应的研究工具,将其作为一门独立的学科来研究,条件已经具备。物资供应是为满足本单位需要所进行的有计划的采购、储备和分配物资资源的管理活动,其职能一是供应二是管理三是增效,弄清这些问题对于物资供应部门的准确定位以及生存发展非常重要。

Material supply is a subject with overlapping of ma- terial management and Logistics Management.Material supply can be researched as an independent subject because it has independent research object,independent structure and appropriate research tool.Material supply refers to a management system including planned purchase,storage and distribution for material resource in order to satisfy the demand of enterprise.Three functions of mate- rial supply are supply,management and improving efficiency,mate- rial supply departments should set their developing directions ac- cording to the three functions.
