剧作揭示了男性至上主义的愚蠢,灌注了女性自觉的意识。剧中女性的笑是对父权制所框范的女性定义的怀疑和拒绝。男性们在女性笑声的冲击下产生了精神障碍。但作者身为男性,最后对两性关系的处理采取了妥协态度,不能给予两性以真正意义上的平等。

The play of Women Laughing tries to expose the foolishness of masculine supremacy, and adds in it the realization of feminine consciousness. The women's laughing in the play is the doubt and refusal to the definition of female which defined by men. However, as a male, the playwright adopted a compromising attitude towards the relationship between male and female. Thus, he failed to give real equality to different genders.
