毛泽东提出的“两个务必”，是在我党即将执政之时对全党干部作的要求。今天，在我党执政五十多年后，仍需要坚持“两个务必”，这是无产阶级政党的政治本色需要，是执政党在新世纪新阶段经受考验的需要，是党带领全国人民全面建设小康社会的需要。只有坚持“两个务必”，才能使我们党真正成为全心全意为人民服务的党，才能使我们党担负起建设中国特色社会主义的伟大历史使命，才能使我们的民族复兴，祖国繁荣昌盛。
