摘要
Influenced by the traditional Chinese way of teaching, many teachers tend to believe that learning happens when students' mistakes are corrected by teachers.However,this paper tries to introduce the notion of'repair'to replace the generally accepted approach of'error correction'.Within this notion,classroom activity is regarded as a learning experience mutually beneficial to both teacher and students.Supported by the repair theory and analysis of authentic research data,the paper provides an in-depth discussion on how repair activity works in the Chinese EFL classroom.
在中国,由于受传统教育思想和教学方法的影响,许多英语老师认为及时纠正学生的错误是做教师的职责,只有这样才能达到学习的目地。然而,本文从一种不同的角度来审视英语课堂中的错误纠正行为,即从教师单方面纠正学生错误到师生共同参与对错误进行"修补"。这种观念把课堂活动看作是一种使师生互相受益的学习经历。本文在论证时引用了中西方有关"修补"理论的前沿研究成果,并在分析中使用了本人课堂教学的素材,力图从深层次上来揭示中国英语课堂教学中"修补"活动的进行。
