摘要
利用互联网实施远程外语教学是一项教学理念和技术上的创新,然而完全让学生在网上以自主学习的方式来学习外语,这听起来可行,但实际效果不尽理想。究其原因,首先是学生自主学习能力不强,或者他们已习惯于听老师讲课;其次,许多网上课程内容设计不够合理,内容繁多,容易使学生迷失方向。所以我们设计的远程大学英语课程就是要试图创造一个融洽的、类似面对面的语言学习环境,模拟真实课堂教学过程,增加授课内容,帮助学生在探索式学习过程中完成其知识建构,从而达到一种教与学的平衡。
Utilizing Web technology and CMLL theories to offer language courses over the Internet is an innovative approach to EFL and ESL.Yet,this self-access and autonomous learning may not be desirable and suitable for all students.Our Web- based English course is to cover the whole teaching process instead of simply putting the electronic lessons on the net.Lecturing can create an amicable learning environment which is familiar to students and can reinforce the focal points of the course to be embedded in students'mind during the process of their new knowledge construction,thus bridging the gap caused by the lack of face-to-face communication between the teacher and students, and reaching a balance between lecturing teaching and exploratory learning.
